I would hardly call the Lake District in England god forsaken. At least not yet. Wait until a few million more muds flood into England and ooze out of London into the countryside.

Rats. I was hoping for a real dead body, kinda bluish and swollen, flies, the whole nine yards. I've seen lots of dead bodies while hiking, but usually of the Bambi variety. It's fun to try to figure what had been gnawing on it before being startled away, at least until you hear a twig snap behind you or you see your dog's hackles raise...then you fill your pants and try not to twist an ankle getting the hell outta there. Good times, good times...
