Gerrymandering is gerrymandering. You ever wonder why they never talk about that on the news?

Yep, Phase III.  First they gathered all the conservatives and/or rich people, second they invited the religious right extremists (aka Roman Catholics and Evangelical Nutjobs) along with the Alt-Right wingnuts.  But they still can't see to push that die-hard GOP vote past 30% of the population.  This new phase is to eliminate the poor and even the elderly from the voting ranks.  There used to be a Driver's License substation two miles from the house, and it was so quick and easy to renew the license.  Now, they've centralized so that it can be a four hour stand in line to renew.  And because of that new "nationally authorized" driver's license, nobody who doesn't already have one can renew by mail.
