Umm - cuz I was a 13 year old boy at one point and getting into the pants of the 35 year old woman down the street was a wonderful experience; took me a while but I managed to do it.

Dec, that's the exception, rather than the rule, and you know it. I agree with Georgie. If a grown-up female type laid her hands on either of my boys, I would rip her tits off and cram them down her throat.

I hate to break up the boys vs. girls nature of the debate thus far, but I'd tend to agree with karenw here.  I wouldn't want one of my son's formative experiences to be with some lady with weird post-high-school issues or who just likes younger boys so much that she'll risk her career and/or jail-time just to get into a sexual situation with them.

All I am seeing on one side of this conversation is enforcement of a christian-judaic meme.  In many societies through out history, the education of the young was entrusted to older members of the opposite sex: Fact. 

Yet, teachers operating out of their neurosis are probably not the optimal models to choose for initiations of this sort.  Especially with the way this society views any form of sexual expression.  Waaaaaaay to much crapola.

I stand by my statement, I was that kid and had my parents become involved I would have been pissed off forever.  Up to that point in my life it had all been teen girls teasing like there was no tomorrow; I was quite pleased to go from "stinky finger" to "wet dick".
