Around here, that's what we call a "target rich environment".

The ironic thing is, if that were a person sleeping while precariously perched, someone would have pushed him and it would have been hilarious. However, pushing the cat would have been cruel.

And then you get to buy the furry counches, sheets and pillows and then spend weeks wondering why your eyes are red and itchy whenever you lie down.

It seems that, behind our backs, Ceiling Cat and Basement Cat are quite cozy.

I just had to "hat" this, because I still remember seeing this image.
Cat Recipes
It may well be the last clear memory left in my addled brain when I croak; that's the kind of impression it leaves...

Referring to the banana cat above...
A friend of mine had a cat that CRAVED tomatoes. Once, the guy was sitting in a chair, eating a dinner that included tomatoes. The cat jumped on his lap and practically took over the plate, trying to snatch the tomatoes. Go figure.

As a girl I had a cat, a wonderful cat who never begged for scraps. The one exception was my mother's home-made pimento cheese. My normally exquisitely polite (and wonderful) cat would climb me like I was a tree, going out onto the limb of my outstretched arm if necessary, and take bites out of my pimento cheese sandwich. In my house you had to hide to eat a pimento cheese sandwich.
Yeah, I still miss him.
