I had a cat that mad at me once. I thought he was someone's pet and I put him in my car. Don't do that with a feral cat.

Not necessarily. My cat gets into that out of control beast mode whenever a local outdoor cat comes by the window to taunt him--he gets a truly frightening look in his eyes. Best thing you can do is throw a towel on him, shut the windows and hope for the best. Ten minutes later, he remembers who he is and resumes grooming my beard, as is his wont. Just this one cat, though; other cats and dogs he likes hanging out with.
