...At the G8. At my board, we don't link so much from Wonkette anymore, and it's sad, but their liberation from their former online publishing collective has allowed them off the deep end of Snark. The tone of their blurbs now are so acerbic, sardonic, and downright non-literal that they're barely newscasters any longer. But this one caught my eye and deserved to be seen here. It concerns the menus of Bush et al. during their latest (and his last, praise the lord) meeting:

Hey everyone, what are you having for dinner tonight? Ha ha, we already know the answer and it’s NOTHING, because there is no longer any food in the world. As you may have heard in the news, the world’s most powerful leaders are convening this week for their annual G8 summit, which is being held in Japan this year. Among the top items on this year’s Agenda is devising a plan to combat the global food shortage. And that is why the leaders and their spouses yesterday ate a fancy six-course lunch and 18-course dinner, the highlight of which had to be the chef’s vinegar jelly. How insensitive! Vinegar jelly is the most endangered of the world’s basic foodstuffs. (Daily Mail via Wonkette)

What actually got me was all the jellies and foams. Not that utterly effete food isn't appropriate in such rarefied company, but does it have to be so totally non-nutritive?

I thought they ate third world babies, puppies, and kittens at those things so I’m not too outraged.

They had caramel glazed jew baby hearts stuffed with cream for desert (a la mode, of course) but since everyone had the same, it wasn't on the menu.

That's what I like about you, innovative solutions to everyday problems.  Keep in mind that due to water shortages in Darfur we won't be able to package it for them as a dried turds.

"G8 'Fantasy' Desert" - Any idea what this includes? Perhaps it is made out of shredded carbon credits in a light crude sauce with a side of civilian "bystander" blood. Served with ice cold bottled water.

Was the Jewish faction of the ruling cabal given the option of having caramel glazed goyim baby hearts stuffed with cream?

Only 2 wines for lunch, but 5 for dinner. Must be a lot of hard work going on. Must be hard to stay awake on the back 9.

Such do our "leaders" lead.
