No.
And why not, precisely?

I was joking.
I need an outlet for all my awesomely obnoxious flash movies.

I thought that was the reason. Look, I tried to axe these as soon as they appeared, but no one else did, and no one really commented one way or another whether that was a desired action. There's plenty of call to ban the beast, and then you come 'round, seeming to know more about him. These vids have become like Chinese water torture. They get views because people want to see just how bad PB's selection has gotten. Always a sort of reward in that, isn't there. Do we need another bull run through the china shop to ban him for good? It's almost as if we're laying out the welcome mat for some pretty pointless activity. (this post was written with the volume off...and for SWFs, none so far beat Kill Your Parents...Then, Kill Yourself's mesmerizing drone)

If you're trying to annoy PB that's one thing but you probably annoying everyone else who enters the thread. Last night I made the mistake of visiting the thread with my speakers up too high while the kids sleeping in the other room. I'm sure those who made the mistake of opening the thread at work were equally grateful.

If horsey got a pass I don't see how PB needs to be banned.

I'm one of the above mentioned. Funny thing though, I actually liked the "Now we know" clip. It was well above her normal standards.

IMNSHO, PB's posts are not disruptive, and (as long as their frequency stays moderate), are easy to ignore. I think banning should be reserved for extremely special occasions. If we ban people just for being annoying Choad'll end up all alone.

All it does now is post clips from "That Mitchell and Webb Look", a show in England. A good show, but the other day we had to delete 15+ postings of show clips. I told him to make a Mitchell and Webb thread, and he kept posting shit.
I don't like ANYTHING that much.
I won't post my flash movies anymore, but if Biscuit can't get with the program...

The post from two days ago didn't seem to be from that show.

Much grass. Maybe a separate "annoying flash" thread would be in order.

Because it would be just one big screechin' cacophony of embedded movies no one could turn off; i.e., worse than the original problem. As for banning, I have no problem saying sayonara to someone who does nothing but post vids no one likes, and doesn't otherwise interact, not even to comment on why the vid was included or what it means.

Again, I thought the "Now we know" vid was worthy. Others said the posts that all got deleted the other day were great. Besides, given that the board has an ignore feature there shouldn't be any need to ban someone just because you think the vids they post suck.

I love ya, Sophie, but I gotta go with Zooie on this one. I did that too... wifey was in the room when I hit this one, and consequently I had some 'splainin to do... seems she didn't appreciate the humor.
I think its prolly best if folks just don't auto-start anything noisy.

So do I. In this particular case, I confess I don't know what the cannibal uproar is about, beyond the obvious bloodlust for ritual sacrifice and flash ambush.

Since everyone here needs my opinion, I'll give it: I don't see anything worth banning as long as there isn't a repeat of Vid Nacht, a.k.a. The Night of 1000 Posts. Forum flooding takes everyone else's fun away. Posting a bad video doesn't waste much of people's time, especially when you're consistent about it.
As for the assertion that a bunch of them were really good, I never heard anyone say that. I think Zookie may have misread my post when I said that the flash movies Sofa was posting were hilarious (I do have to put my vote on the Nay side where autoplay is concerned in general, however), and that I regretted having deleted them along with the PB chaff. It was pretty much the entire Mitchell and Webb Look catalogue from YouTube, and even though I love that show I detest spamming.
My only regret is that I forgot about how to move a thread instead of deleting it.
