I really enjoyed this when it came out. It puts Christine Amanphour's (or however you spell it) recent bullshit CNN North Korea special to shame. I particularly like the waitress in the weird and empty restaurant-wtf?

I’ve heard stories about how batshit crazy North Korea is, and assumed much of it was blown out of proportion. I thought, sure, it’s poor, and authoritarian, but kids still fall in love and fuck, young mothers fuss over their babies, and kids play games in the streets and empty lots. Just under the weird surface, something resembling normal life goes on. Who knew insanity on such a monumental scale could reach so far into everyday life.
