Maybe he would have enjoyed Dynamite a little more. Then there was Bananas. Do you remember Bananas?

Yeah, we used to get Dynamite. I don't remember Bananas.

I remember it was soooo funny watching my boy feign enthusiasm to my parents about a magazine he had little to no interest in, and that fake interest earning him another fun-filled year of Highlights.

Too bad. Bananas was more our era anyway. It had such interesting features.

I can  see it from here. Little pENIx sending off his hard-earned barmitzvah money for a subscription to a magazine called Bananas...and the ensuing disappointment.

Actually, I got subscriptions to both for free from an aunt who worked at Scholastic. I should've saved the damn things. They're worth a lot more than my NatGeos, which I'll bet you paid for the nekkid African chicas to fap at.

Nah. I grew up dirt poor. When I was nine I learned to play pool and from then on I had an income, but I sure as hell didn't spend it on magazines. I don't really like magazines. I never buy them and I usually bring a book to the dentist's office.

Loni Anderson was great. For the first time, me and Dad could fap to the same pull out poster...
