Nothing of the sort.  Slaves tend to improve the quality of a farmer's land; slaves were the Roots of modern industrial farming.  Beavers, OTOH, tend to flood out valuable cropland.

...and the first person to lecture me about food chains and sustainable farming and permaculture and how the beaver ponds fix nitrogen gets a bitchslap.

I like the idea of baby beavers.
