Long before Tom Bodet left the light on for ya. I'm old to remember the $6 rate was too dear for all but the foulest weather. Always noisy, too.

As a tribute to the great Pete Seeger who left us on January 27th, here is the unquestionably most fabulous version of "If I Had a Hammer," which is just one of the songs for which he will be long remembered:

The group Postmodern Jukebox shows what Guns N' Roses "Sweet Child O' Mine" would have sounded like if New Orleans blues legend Bessie Smith had recorded it back in the '20s. That note at 3:58 was so powerful that the room literally shook...

The heavy metal version of Hieronymus Bosch’s "Butt Song From Hell"; the original version is painted on the butt of a sinner in his painting The Garden of Earthly Delights.

A surprisingly toe-tapping theme song for a 1969 Japanese TV series that, from the looks of the accompanying compilation clip, was chock-full of visual weirdness!

Edit-
I will share some of the blame with Flashblock. AS I don't see the screen unless I activate it. Also why we need to tag these video threads....

OK Go is better known for their intricate videos than their music. This video has a number of optical illusions, and includes artwork by Felice Varini and Dan Tobin-Smith among others. The whole thing was done in one take in a Brooklyn warehouse. The split second timing and complexity involved in the choreography is mind blowing.

15,000 Latvians welcoming Midsummer Night by singing. The Solstice is a major holiday in Latvia, celebrated with bonfires, feasting, and drinking. Young couples are encouraged to go into the woods to look for the legendary flowering fern, which only blooms on Midsummer Night. At dawn men jump naked into the nearest stream or lake, cheered on by women. The people wear wreaths in their hair, generally made of flowers for women, and oak or birch leaves for men.
