I enjoy a good cocktail, especially when it's artfully prepared by someone who knows what they are doing, such as the fine folks at Milk & Honey in New Jack City. That joint's probably the paragon of fine drink creation, they inspired me to make my own ginger beer. I'm always on the lookout for artisan concoctions which match up to the best of fine dining. Why the fuck not? That said, my favorite buzz is a simpler pairing of whiskey and THC vapor, along with the staples of wine and fresh squeezed malt juice.
I'm not particularly keen on the novelty cocktail, but a friend introduced me to a new recipe tonight and I thought you might enjoy...
Introducing the Jon Benet, sweet but seductive:
- vanilla stoli
- ginger ale
- maraschino cherry, crushed
Serve stiff, pound vigorously.

My "invention" is what I called the "Missed Period" back in my bartending days:
1 shot Bacardi 151
1 shot Ameretto
splash of Pineapple Juice
splash of grenadine
I served it as a shot but with more juice and grenadine, it makes a fine drink for the ladies. It tastes remarkably like Hawaiian Punch. The name comes from the fact that it tastes very benign, but is extremely strong. They'll never know what hit them.
"Missed Periods" for all of the ladies!!!
