Looks like we're the only ones that missed it.  They're at 10X their goal with 17 days left.

I have no idea how they will make that growler with those features at that price point, but if they pull it off, I'll buy one for sure.

Man. That stuff makes banjo want to tap dance. Taste like 90% Coors Light and 10% IPA. It's like Jesus mixed himself.

This stuff

I would have to put this within the top 5 liquors I have ever had under $200 a bottle. Maybe it really does take an oppressive slavocracy to make a good rum, but I don't care.

Jack Daniels in the "noonish", for Irish coffee.  Jim Beam would do as well for this purpose.

Goslings 151 proof Black Seal dark rum for rum and coke in the afternoon.  Excellent strong dark flavor, 1 shot rum to 8oz coke and ice.

Gran Marnier in the evening, straight up in a double shot glass or brandy snifter.

Sierra Nevada Stout or Porter, anytime.  It's not just for breakfast anymore.

Jeez. What a complex life you live. Me, shitty vodka any time and a nice cold Coors Light to wash it down with. ( my liver just tickled me when I wrote this).

On Friday evening I'll be sampling my first ever batch of cider. I already know it's far too tart, but correcting that's an easy adjustment to make.

Maybe this should go into "Newspaper Obits" but what the hell - gotta love a paper that will do a critical review of a Dive Bar.

Expect it to be buried in hipsters and their scooters until some other "unknown" place pops up.

This is what I'm drinking these days:

Be careful, it's easy to achieve a toxic overload with some of those roots and barks.

I've been hanging my hat in Colorado Springs, CO these days.  I lived in Lake Havasu City, AZ for around a year and found that it was too ungodly hot.  I decided to move here because it's a helluva lot cooler in the Summer than AZ and a helluva lot warmer in the Winter than ND.  What have I missed?

Here's one of the local whiskeys I'm really liking.  Instead of being aged in Oak it's aged in Aspen and has a very original flavor because of it.

If you're referring to all the rain that's been falling here I welcome it.  I put down about 3,500 sq. feet of sod this Spring and haven't had to do anything other than mow it.

I've also got about three gallons of mead and a gallon of nutmeg metheglin brewing in my downstairs closet.  I plan on aging it for at least another eight months, but so far it's tasting very nice!

Drink pumpkin?  Why not just chug a sweet potato?  Or maybe even deep throat a yam??

That must be a Marine thing for after lights out in the barracks.

No, I was understandably reluctant to try it but someone bought it for me and my publican friend. Whenever I go in there I feel a certain duty to drink free beer and offer comments on them. I was amazed just how palatable it was. It's not for every day, certainly not for quaffing and I don't even want to think about the kind of hangover you'd get (lock up your guns before going to sleep) but it is actually very drinkable.

Avoid Japanese whiskeys at all costs.  This is the second one I've overpaid for and they all taste like cheap Scotch.

I have not.  I keep paying sixty plus dollars a bottle for what should be good whiskey and I'm always disappointed.  I think I'll stick to the Kentucky and Colorado small batch whiskies.
