Jack Daniels in the "noonish", for Irish coffee. Jim Beam would do as well for this purpose.
Goslings 151 proof Black Seal dark rum for rum and coke in the afternoon. Excellent strong dark flavor, 1 shot rum to 8oz coke and ice.
Gran Marnier in the evening, straight up in a double shot glass or brandy snifter.
Sierra Nevada Stout or Porter, anytime. It's not just for breakfast anymore.

I've been hanging my hat in Colorado Springs, CO these days. I lived in Lake Havasu City, AZ for around a year and found that it was too ungodly hot. I decided to move here because it's a helluva lot cooler in the Summer than AZ and a helluva lot warmer in the Winter than ND. What have I missed?

Here's one of the local whiskeys I'm really liking. Instead of being aged in Oak it's aged in Aspen and has a very original flavor because of it.

No, I was understandably reluctant to try it but someone bought it for me and my publican friend. Whenever I go in there I feel a certain duty to drink free beer and offer comments on them. I was amazed just how palatable it was. It's not for every day, certainly not for quaffing and I don't even want to think about the kind of hangover you'd get (lock up your guns before going to sleep) but it is actually very drinkable.

I have not. I keep paying sixty plus dollars a bottle for what should be good whiskey and I'm always disappointed. I think I'll stick to the Kentucky and Colorado small batch whiskies.
