Apparently not.
The guy apparently broke his hand when he couldn't get it unhooked from the strap.

Very likely yes, and maybe deservedly, but the blame for that bite falls squarely on the anchor. If you can't read dogs any better than that, don't stick your face in theirs.

A follow up to the "dog bites news anchor" story:
Fox News likes the video and the NBC affiliate thinks they're scum for airing it repeatedly.
Ms. Dyer's career is hurtin'. She was one of the less objectionable talking heads in these parts.

Two of my ol' favorites, Bauke and Malaika, gone now:

I don't think I'd buy myself or my dog any sex toy that is advertised using the nutcracker theme.

“Every evening a river otter comes to play with our daughter’s dog. What was once an acquaintance on the other side of the fence has now become a friend who comes to play through the fence. It has been interesting to watch as their trust of each other has developed over the past several months.”

This is just wrong. I worry about how the dog was trained to respond this way.

I fucking hate Corgi's. My brother in law has two and they are the worst behaved dogs I have ever encountered. They bark all day non stop and won't take (or have been given I guess) any discipline and pretty much attempt to bite any person that comes in the house.
But that's still funny. And it probably wasn't a "chemical reaction" that lit it off, it was probably the pilot light on the stove. One of my renters once lit the kitchen on fire spraying dusting aerosol on a wooden bowl sitting on the gas stove.
