I hope such thoughtless people are told, “life’s a bitch” when they go to the ER with a heart attack or stroke.

In all fairness, life really is a bitch.

But she has softened a bit in certain areas, for example life is much less a bitch in the western culture now than it was 60 years ago or so.

Of course life is a bitch.  And more often than not, a miscarriage is a blessing in disguise.  A miscarried fetus frequently has too many or not enough chromosomes, or a serious defect that would cause it to have a short life or be a huge burden to its family.  But only an idiot would be tactless enough to point this out to the woman miscarrying the worthless piece of protoplasm.

As someone who doesn't have kids (and doesn't want them) I can't see how miscarriage isn't a blessing.

OK kids, go for it, shoot me now.  I'm sure I've unleashed the beast.

I am often dubbed the 'antichrist' for not being able to understand or feel sympathy for someone that miscarries.  I mean, on a general level I get it...but I have to say I think more like Fnord does on that issue.

Some kids are fine.  As long as they go home with their parents after their cuteness wears out.
