This is a first. Smitty posting a political thread.  However, I was at a loss to really be sure who I might want to vote for, should I actually show up and exercise this right.

http://www.wqad.com/Global/link.asp?L=259460

I am not surprised by my results at all, except for the fact that Billary is in my top four.

Here are my top 3 results:

1) Rudy Giuliani
Score: 38

2) Barack Obama
Score: 37

3) Joe Biden
Score: 37

Btw, NPR has a more in depth version of this.  I got the same results:

I would love to see Bill Richardson get to be President.  Of course, that will never happen.

Smitty posting a political thread.

When I first joined Cruel, it was the final month of a presidential election - I'll be damned if I can remember which.  I liked cruel's front page, but the forum seemed to be just a bunch of political banter with the occasional cruel link.  I almost didn't come back.  (Missed your chance back then!)

I guess it's probably a personality defect that I can't stomach politics.  I find out who my daughter is voting for and I vote that way (don't tell her - she would kill me).  I could justify my apathy by saying my vote doesn't count and all politicians are crooked lying liars and blah blah blah, but the truth is that the real issues facing society bore me silly.  I would rather watch OPSEC's tentacle porn than watch a political debate.  'Course I would rather watch OPSEC's tentacle porn than eat chocolate brownies, so I guess that's a bad example.

Joe Biden is my choice.

I'm starting to see that people are up for picking Hillary or Obama simply because they, "want a change" but that change seems to be only in the form of appearence instead of ideas and any actual real change. Atleast the real change that we need anyway.

Not only that but theres so many people who don't take the time to educate themselves on all the issues at hand, as well as take in account anything other than the fucking war in Iraq. People want us to end the war to as soon as a candidate says, "I want to end the war in Iraq within days of my term" thats who they want to vote for. It's the worst thing because people only see that and not the other issues that that candidate is working on. Example of this would be Ron Paul. That fucker is all for ending the war (and in my opinion in the worst way possible) so people want HIM as president. Apparently saying that he really cares about America and its people. At the same time he also is NOT pro-choice, even at the expense of the womans life. Great, yes he will make the BEST president. I'm sure he will give homos their rights as well, correct?

Anyway, Joe Biden really is the only one with a real plan and a realistic one at that. Not only regarding the war, but all other main issues of interest. I just hope people start to get that having the first black person or the first woman as president might not be all its cracked up to be once the whole civil movement idea is out of the lime light.

I'm going with Joe Biden myself.

I'm not into political debate, I'm just curious about people's results based on a quiz...and if it is close to what they were actually planning to do.

Wow. Nothing like I thought.

I am apparently a bleeding heart liberal, according to this. I usually score in the middle/Libertarian on other political quizzes.

I really like Ron Paul. He's the least retarded candidate.

Some guy named Chris Dodd got a 35 from me, with Mike Gravel ("Gravel"???) a close second.

Who the fuck are those people?  I vaguely remember hearing Chris Dodd's name before (probably read it on a bathroom wall), but Mike Gravel is totally new to me.  I'll vote for Hillary 'cuz maybe she'll repay me by sleeping with me.  If *I* can't make her a lesbian, nobody can.

Maybe I should just vote for Duncan Hunter (score=3; another guy I never heard of) and be done with it.

He has a snowflake's chance in hell of winning, but what the hell, I always vote for Nader anyhow.

I'm alligned with Kucinich, which is cool in the fact that he thrives on his Waaaay outside-the-box viewpoints.  Too bad he doesn't have a chance though.  I mean, his wife is HOT!  Wonder what kind of Representational wood that munchkin is swingin'?

We just can't go a day without a Liz Kucinich pic, can we. Does she really have a tongue piercing? I suppose even I would have to stipulate to her hawt-ness. Anywhore...

60% tie for Barak and Hillary. After the ungentlemanly spectacle of the last Dem debate, I would half expect Mrs. Clinton to choose Richardson for a running mate. Kuchy-kook has sandbagged himself with the UFO shit.

Dead last: Fred Thompson with a 1 (such a pity, I liked him on Law & Order). This narrowly beat Brownback's 5, and he's not even in the race any longer. Personally, I wish Obama were a more viable candidate, but as much as I want to like him, recent interviews have made him seem saccharin and his wife sort of shrill. At least I liked Mrs. Clinton's wife. Wotta 'ho.

For some reason the robot thinks I like McCain, but I could never see myself voting for him.  I think Rudy is the guy.

I find it interesting that none of the Dems here have chosen Hillary, the supposed front runner.  Does she scare all of you like she scares me?

From J-Walk blog...

I think I've figured out the difference between Democrats and Republicans.

Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich saw a UFO. And so did Jimmy Carter. Notice that they have one thing in common: Both Democrats.

Republicans, on the other hand, don't see UFOs. They do, however, tend to receive guidance from Jesus.

You know OPS, you've made me realize why those political questionnaires are worthless.  The first question should be:

Sanity: I vote for candidates that support my positions, regardless of their grip on reality.

o I strongly agree and so does my pet dragon.
o I eat my own feces.
o Hey, I want some of those!
o Get your own goddam feces!  These are mine!

Tom Tancredo.  Kucinich actually scored worse than Shrillary.  I think I will take it every day to see which issues Shrillary and I will agree and disagree on depending on who she is pandering to that day.

I'll take the redhead, and conduct my own alien exploratory probes.

Dodd - 34
Obama - 33

Biden - 33

In essence, a tie.

And yes, Ops, there is an Extraterrestrial Claus. Aliens and the undead manipulate our politics. Such a shame the Weekly World News went under. It was always fun to see which candidate the guys in the Roswell costumes chose.

Bigger isn't always better, so how about snapping that shot and letting us be the judge?  I, for one, am always kind to the women who show us what they've got.

It's kind of hard to take the poll seriously when they ignored the best candidate of all.

Kucinich 54

Dodd       47

Obama & Billary 46

Gravel    44

Richardson 43

Edwards   39

Biden        32

Giuliani      29

Ron Paul     22

Romney      15

Trancredo & McCain  7

Hunter             3

Trancredo is the only one who agreed with me on immigration, but disagrees with me on everything else.  I’m sure my results are a surprise to you guys, but what would be ideal for me would be a white society with very liberal social policies.  No candidate really represents my views and wishes.
