Not really.  Saddam was an absolute control freak who had people killed on a whim.  He drained vast areas of wetland to punish an ethnic group called the Marsh Arabs in order to destroy their traditional way of life and increase his ability to control them.  He gassed the Kurds (with gas supplied by the US), embezzled humanitarian aid and oil profits, and did not maintain infrastructure.  Granted our invasion was bungled, but it provided an opportunity for change.  And what happened?  The various fucktard faction leaders started committing mass murders over whose insane version of religious medieval stupidity would be the one imposed on the country.  Fuck em!  They deserve to be oppressed by a powerful tyrant and this is the best outcome we can hope for from the present mess.

Unless they happened to run into Uday or Qusay along their way.
