Merry Solstice, fellow cultists.

The last story I posted made me think about a possible point in our childhood development that could have changed us forever.

Which brings me to my point. Everyone dig out a childhood picture from before you were corrupted and post it.

Don't be a pussy. Just do it.

What, you mean like Jews, Muslims, atheists, Buddhists, and all the people who put on a front here but are really off living in a Rockwell illustration right now? I'm sure there will be at least as many as I've seen crop up on my IM client, whining that they're in between courses, ready to kill everyone present, and using their cousin's computer for a moment of connection to something "real."

Hyuckin' A!  I'm DRUNK, crafting my quilt of night terrors, and after reading this, also using crazy glue to glue other people's teeth to my teeth for lulz.

I'm missing the Lycanthrope Xmas in Canada.  (It's like Qwaanzuccah, but with more running and yelling.)  How pathetic is that?  Oh wait, not so much, there are people coming over.  People I don't even want to introduce to my collection of blue "storage" barrels.  I hope they like my new teeth.

Well, as my kids are still in the same troop, I thought it was prudent.

The rank is still there, though - that's on the front pocket - it's a Star Scout emblem, two ranks away from Eagle, which, yes, I did also earn.

Oh, man--software developers, loving mothers, loving fathers, an Eagle Scout--my delusions about High-Streeters keep toppling, one by one.  I thought I was the closet straight & narrow.

P.S.  Husband™ treated us to a cheapo scanner for Xmas; but so far I've been unable to find any childhood photos, which is why no Baby George.

Well, I know I'll get snowed with bullshit responses if I ever did, but I'm betting if I put up a poll as to political affiliation, and people really did respond truthfully, that we'd find more than half the jokers here are Republicans, too.

Hppft. I registered Independent in college, which was a waste of time, as it kept me from voting in primaries. So now I'm a Democrat. That doesn't need defending. The only thing people can judge me by is an assortment of politicians, as if that's supposed to define what I think, feel, or do. I'm pretty sure any 'true' Republican could reject the same comparison.

If the past seven years have taught you nothing else, then it's that American bipartisanship is a cheap veneer. Belonging to a political party is too facile; it's meant for people who can't discuss things as you do. We have been forced to pick arbitrary sides while we all know that both of them have sold out to the highest bidder.

Not terribly surprising.  Pretty much only intellegent and motivated kids get there, and it takes intellegence and motivation to be truly sarcastic.

Fortunately, I later spent four years in the Coast Guard where I learned all about knot tying.  This knowledge gives you the self confidence needed for basic bondage technique.

Yep... collar-less summer shirt, green garters on the socks and rectangular "star" rank patch with green background... all that should easily give you the decade.

Hello fuckers.  I haven't seen you guys in like, FOREVER!  Lotsa new handles... who's the newest troll?

Anyway, I'm lazy tonight so I'm not scanning you a damn thing.  But I've got pics of me around here somewhere from when I was a young'n.  I even have some of BEFORE I was corrupted... but you've already seen those.  (I was a good little southern baptist... 19 y/o)

BUT I DIGRESS....  We sure are a cute bunch of fucking kids.  For the record, I never cheerleaded, sold girlscout cookies, wore any agenda'ed organization's uniform (good agendas as well as bad) and I am proudly fucking liberal.  I'm also meeting Lewis Black on Feb 13 at the ACLU NC award dinner.... he's the fucking keynote speaker.  ZING!

So, in other words, except for the good Mom thing, I am exactly what is expected on cruel.  Or high-street, even.
