No, actually, I *do* mean 'his'.  Each of my boys will have to build (or, more exactly, re-build) their own car.  I intend to buy each of them a car in need of significant work, and they will do the repairs and upgrades necessary to put it back on the road.  They will have put their own sweat into the car before they ever drive it, thereby having more of a connection to the vehicle and more chance of them taking care of it.  I'm looking at getting them Miata's, since parts are so plentiful and their fun-per-gallon is likely to be high.

NICE RIDE....My dad rebuilt a '65 Falcon, silver with red interior....I fucking flipped the thing, completely drunk, over the edge down a slope to the river....I remember crawling out, muttering "oh gawd, oh fuck, oh shit..." the local veterinarian drove by and gave me a ride into town. He said, just go to bed, and tell your folks in the morning...
What did I do?  When I got home, I brushed my teeth, washed my face, changed my clothes...then I woke the folks up to tell them.  They were just worried if I was alright...had to go back out with a local cop...he asked me if I had been drinking, and like a smart boy, I said "No officer"...Damn good thing my dad is a well respected man in the community.  The fucking car sat outside the house for 2 weeks, just so I could be reminded...I still feel bad about that, dad put alot of work into it....
