To save you trouble, square, I'll do that at the beginning of each month when I catch up old banners that have fallen out of favor.
Offhand, I'd say My policies have resulted in fewer banners making the cut than under Pale's system. I haven't counted, but I think the approval ratio has been about a third.
...and, for the record, it was not My intent to run pale off. Come home, Sweet Pea, it was just a little roughhousing!

Hey, Stoned, you realize these banners are supposed to be aiding in High Street's branding, right? If a banner doesn't have the name of the site in it, then it'd damned well better be site specific ("Pale and Tain in ur bannerz alterin ur moods", which I cannot find at the moment because it probably has a stupid filename, would be an example of this). Those three submissions of yours don't meet the VERY minimal requirements to be given even a voting opportunity. These requirements are so minimal, I didn't even know they existed until your noob ass came along.
To be considered for voting a High Street banner must be:
1) a banner
2) about High Street
Try again please.
I'm also not in love with your little copyright message, considering your images and slogans are just as ripped-off as ours generally are.

Both Cobalt and Oxygen properly display .png transparencies, while older browsers and .gif conversions make hash of them.
Anyone know of functional alternatives?
edit: Holy christ on ice skates, the only cure for white backgrounds is early onset blindness. I could up Kontrast's agate font size easy enough if you like.

The transparency isn't broken - it works just fine. It's that the images only look decent on a dark background (I'm using Kontrast). My suggestion would be to pick a suitable background color for the image and slap it onto the back of the image instead of making a transparent image.
