Oh dear god.  That poor firing pin.

I wonder how modified that Glock 19 (I believe) was.  If unmodified- beyond the obvious trigger sear-  Glock should post this on their website as an advertisement.  (Google "Glock grenade" to see what I mean about their reputation).

Also, it makes me rage a little that someone could dumb forty bucks of ammunition that fast and not blink an eye. Fucking gun yuppies.

For real.

My friend treats his banned 2,000 rounds of 7.62 Chinese steel core as if it were platinum bars or something.

More likely a Glock 18.  Better than ten years ago I bought thousands of rounds of 9mm for a couple of hundred dollars.  Gave a few hundred to my youngest sister a few weeks ago.  She was having a hard time finding ammo at the local gun shops.  Not to mention that it costs a small fortune buying it now.

It's definitely a seller's market for self defense weapons and accessories. A couple of weeks ago I had to sell a Mini-14. It brought much more than I'd paid originally. Now I'm trying to unload over seven hundred rounds of .223 ammo. It should sell pretty soon though.

You could have been filthy rich.  9mm rounds double as gold dubloons nowadays.  There's always five or six rednecks camped out at Walmart during Wednesday's ammo delivery who snatch up whatever they have right away.

Prices are starting to come down now as the military shoots less and stockpiles more, letting the ammo makers make more civilian ammo, but two months ago there wasn't a snitch of 9mm in my whole city.

What brand are they?  I could offer you a fair price.

When I bought these several years ago I would regularly shoot with a friend who was a reloader. At that time, he told me it wasn't worth the trouble to reload .223 as they were cheap and plentiful then. With the rednecks and the NRA experiencing Obama-noia and stockpiling ammo, reloading .223 may currently be a good option, if there is brass to be had.

Why?  Back when I stocked up on 9mm .45, .223 and .308 surplus was so cheap it would take years of reloading to pay for the equipment.
Remington quit making the .22's my single shot likes for a few years so when they started again instead of a brick I bought a case.
Once when I was wandering through Wal-Mart,  12 gauge AA's were on clearance for about a dollar a box  bought all the cases they had.  I also picked up clay pigeons, so most of that is gone.  Fun to shoot, but not very good eating.
Since the monsters were born I don't shoot much.  There's probably enough factory loaded ammo in metal boxes here to last the rest of my life.
Sooner or later supply will catch up again and you'll be able to buy it cheap.
