Polictical rubbish is tedious and sanctimonious hypocrites are no exception but we might as well at least piss-mark the first.

Well, that would be classic Chicago politics.  But thinking outside the spin put forth in the article, is it possible this gentleman Walpin is going senile or something?  They do call him "elderly," though they don't specify his age.

I'm not trying to make excuses for the Anointed One.  It's just that a move like this seems so clumsy, PR-wise--it's very much out of character for the administration, whatever else you might think of them.

Who are they going to hire to replace him, Blagovitch?

I agree--I expect him to fuck up some time, but this really doesn't seem like his style of fucking up. Too rash, and too exactly like something Rove would do.

According to anonymous reports, former Republican mastermind Carl Rove has been secretly hired by the Obama administration to coordinate a housecleaning of established appointees. His first victim? Gerald Walpin, U.S. inspector general. Sources believe Rove made the decision based on consultations with Michelle Obama.

Yo, it's Obama, not Evita.

Once again children, let me remind you that the Messiah is a Chicago politician, well-spoken, but a hard core Richard Daley product through and through.  He is repaying his debts and tying up loose political ends while speaking to the public in grand gestures.  He talks like Jesus and acts like Pilate.  His goal is to get as much done before his blind faith followers figure him out.

If we learned anything from the Bush years it is that the blind faith followers absolutely never figure it out.
