When I was pregnant with my younger son in 2004/2005, it was at the exact same time as Feisty, and she would share cute stories on cruel about being pregnant...but I never said a thing until mine was born. Nicky was born about 2 weeks after she had Stella, and I remember when I announced that I had him, a couple of people joked that I was fucking around, and was making it up for attention. It was funny, because I realized that it sounded hokey to not say anything until it happened. Whatev. I had been pregnant and had a baby before - I wanted to let Feisty (who is much younger than me, and was having her first baby) have the attention she deserved.
This chick is a real piece of work. She let that lady raise funds for a fake (and supposedly sick) baby.

Wow! I've been away for awhile only to come back and find out Fnord is gay and Sofie's gestation period is 2 years, what the fuck are you? A giraffe?
Also, I would never have pegged fnord as a butt pirate.
And that whiney bitch Zookeeper ran away too, huh?
Go on hiatus for a litttle while and it all goes right in the shitter.

September 2004 to June 2005.
And yes, I really am a giraffe.
For reals.

When I first got involved with this crowd, I didn’t find it necessary to discuss my private life. To be honest, given the efforts many people were making to uncover the identities of people they didn’t like and cause problems for them in real life, I felt the less said the better. We’ve evolved from being shifting coalitions of bitter partisans to a group of long-term frenimies, so I’ve begun to feel less paranoid and more comfortable with sharing a few details about myself.
My own life has changed a lot over the years as well. I used to be very well off and traveled to Europe, Hawaii and other fun places on a regular basis. Thanks to the economic meltdown and the expenses associated with my own and my partner’s medical issues, that’s no longer the case. I’m not desperate yet, but it’s been quite a fall from where I was. I can’t afford to take another trip to Europe anytime soon, but I don’t need to darken the door of my local food pantry. I own my current home free and clear and there is a source of income that enables me to live a modest middle class lifestyle.
Dirk asked for advice about his mother’s situation, and I offered advice about one part of it from personal experience. In the process, I outed myself. I suppose I could have changed the details a bit, but I didn’t want to be bothered to keep track of what I said to keep from contradicting myself in the future.

I wasn't kicking ya in the nuts fnordie, just suprised is all. I have a gay brother who just had a commitment ceremony(sp?) in Ca. I'm for happiness and that's all. As you might say, "whatever whips your nigger"
Some shit about Sofie being a giraffe though, huh? Now that is one I'm still trying to wrap my head around.

Well Fnord, this does clear up an inconsistancy in your online persona. You just don't find too many admitted racist liberals out there.

Surprisingly, there are many racist rectum wranglers and liberals. To be fair, many people of color don’t tolerate homosexuality or liberalism.

People of color may not tolerate homosexual liberals, but generally speaking, the reverse is not true.

No one is ever who they seem. It's true that in the days of Cruel, it was essential to keep your persona clean and untracable. Things have changed, and it was really entertaining to watch fnord fuck with all of our preconceived notions of who he is.
Fnord is a racist and I'm a bigot, so we have little in common, yet I've always enjoyed his links and commentary. He's never given me shit about the whole goat thing, so why should I judge him for being a lesbian transexual? What... I missed another memo didn't I?

In my definition... racists love or hate people according to their ethnic origin or skin color while bigots generally tend to love or hate people based on their culture and behavior. There's certainly some overlap, but it's not a subset.

Well, that’s not what the dictionary says. Yet, I appreciate you making me think about the distinction and actually look up the words. I’d never thought about it before.

Well, that’s not what the dictionary says.
I realize it's not accurate. "I'm a bigot, not a racist" is usually said in jest among people who [at least think they] know what you mean.

I felt stupid I hadn’t thought too carefully about those words. I appreciate anybody who teaches me something, even in your own inaccurate, missing the point, goatfucking, kind of way. Is that better?

Denigrating yet colorful... much better. But it's alleged goatfucker.
Seriously, I'd like to come up with a better word than bigot. Bigot implies ignorance. I just have discriminating tastes when it comes to people who want to do me harm, which winds up being an alarming percentage of the global population.

I've all-ways been rather comfortable with misanthropist my-self. The dozen or so bi-peds that I do tolerate hardly negate the aptness of the "title" as far as I'm concerned.

Misanthrope is harsh, I have absolutely no problem with hundreds of millions of people on this planet, as long as they stay out of my yard. It's the other 5.5 billion and their religions and breeding habits that disturb me.

FYI Fnord, I don't care that you're gay, in fact I"m sure Taint can share some lube!!
I do, however, wish you the best in regards to your situation with your partner.

Yeah . . . Some of us are just getting "a bit too close for comfort."
Tune in next week when Ptah discusses Roger's waxing ritual.
"If you consume me . . ."
And, Fnord's so hard that he cut a diamond whilst "getting a nut."
Yeah . . . I know. I'll "work" on it.

Then you did the correct thing.
You should be proud that you are such a good friend.
Fuck the doubters, their opinion matters not a bit.
You'll have to excuse me. Phish just hit Tennessee (Bonnaroo), St Louis, then Pennsylvania. Most of the kids I know skipped Penn and went straight from St Louis to Indy (which was great for me!!), anyway then Alpine Valley, WI (5 hour drive). I'm not really into Phish, or at least wasn't the first time around, but, hey, friends I haven't seen in 10 years are swinging through right and left and leaving quite the mark on my mental well-being!
God bless 'merica! It is like 1992 all over again! (I guess you had to be there)
Dammit... see how I attempted to steal your attention? FUCK, I'm sorry. See, I'm not nearly as conscientious as you are. This ain't about me and my Canadian and Cali 'kids'. My bad!

He's right.
Many gay men I've known are racist, to some degree.
That is one thing about one of my oldest friends, he plays it off like he's always "just kidding" but constantly makes racist comical remarks.
To be fair, most of the straight male black dudes I know claim they are all homophobic, so 6 in 1, 12 inches in another.
