So what do you do about it? Putting more women into the work force worked pretty well around here.
Of course, in SA the police are pretty much useless, so you can't really take a law and order approach to the problem.

Last night's "Frontline" special was devoted to this, in Liberia. Women eventually quashed the strife by protesting (and denying their husbands sex). A female leader was eventually elected. The details (conscripting children, raping children, etc) were graphic and atrocious. It sometimes makes me wonder if Fnord doesn't get his talking points from somewhere [that's not Detroit].
