What a wonderful infographic someone has made: donations from HMO/health insurance groups in the last election cycle for each US Senator. It's big, so I suggest the ol' right-click, save-as (or somesuch).

I doubt we'll ever have suitable national health care in this country for many reasons, one of the biggest being that the insurance industry is so pervasive in politics as well as employing far too many people to eradicate. Kind of the same way we keep the war on drugs going so that the DEA and various other agencies can keep their paychecks.
