Loopy Fundamentalist Assholes are being used to further Israel’s interests. Americans are dying in the Middle East and our economy is being destroyed for Israel’s benefit.

It's so much easier to question and impugn a state of Jewish people than the people, themselves, isn't it. How is this not bigotry in conspiracy theorist's clothing? Some day, if we're not careful, insulting the US may become synonymous with "Christian-bashing." It's already 'traitorous.' Not much more of step to consider it heresy.

I hate it when we sorta agree with you. But I think I am seeing evidence of suckered evangelicals.
I was having my car serviced a few weeks ago. I was waiting in the lounge when a youngish black woman came to sit with me and a few others. I remembered seeing her get out of a mini-van plastered with US Marines stickers. Fox News was on the lounge TV, and she commented that Fox only spoke the truth. Then, she began spouting off about how proud she was of her Marine son, who was fighting for Israel in Iraq (yes, that's an exact quote). She mentioned that blacks had been enslaved to bring them to Christ (they were freed later enough had converted). She droned through the old stand by, "the lack of prayer in school was wrecking America." And, "since we are unable to display the ten commandments, nobody can remember them, so they are committing horrible crimes."
The worst part of this anecdote is that I could not record any of what she said.

Oh, come on, Fnord. Since when is Israel different from any other country that wants the US to look out for its interests? The Israelis are more sophisticated about it and the US long ago determined - for better or for worse - that Israel was central to American interests in the Middle East.
Criticize Israel all you want - and there's plenty to criticize - but to suggest they're destroying the US economy is ridiculous. That ranks right up there with the Jewish evacuation of the WTC before the planes struck.
I don't always agree with you, but I expect better from you.

Or, perhaps American interests, neocons, are using the Israeli lobby to pressure American interests, since the Israeli lobby has deep pockets and is nonpartisan.
At the behest of the bavarian illuminati
who are working for the reptilians
under the command of the queen of england
of course.

While I wouldn't waste anyone's time accusing Israel of keeping its hands clean, once in nearly sixty years of League of Nations-recreated statehood, it never ceases to amaze/amuse me how often these "plots" are so transparent and uncomplicated, even your average backwater rube can master their fiendish nature. If evil is banal, then the CT's have cornered the market on banality. It's probably not even worth considering the American ethnocentrism that fuels our continued relations, but I've always thought the "Jewish State" would be a lot safer if relocated to New Jersey. They can't help but suck up to whichever US party is in control, or anyone else who could keep them from anihilation, for that matter.
We are surrounded by people who think no further than that woman at the service station. They have their beliefs--both religious and politcal--handed to them, and either cannot or will not process anything beyond them. It upsets their preferred view of the world; makes them feel uneasy, lost, and unprotected. Whether the nonsense she spouted was part of a "Big Lie," or just a chop-shop assemblage of half-truths, it's all she can handle.
Her son is at war, probably more because it was seen as a path to education, experience, and a different socioeconomic status. The people who think slightly more than she does believe we're in it for 'democracy,' 'freedom,' or to stem the tide of terrorism. I suppose Israel needs oil, too. These are the same folks who keep their W-stickered Escalades shiny while the magnetic yellow ribbons fade. At least Israel never made any bones about being in it for themselves, nor have they actively supported fun side projects like genocide in Darfur. If she wants to blame people for her life or the potential loss of her son's, then she should look to Washington before Tel Aviv.

a) No.
b) No, but my remark isn't specifically directed at him.
However, if it manages to 'capture' some common thread of his behavior, well, then that's his problem, not mine. I don't know anyone here, really, but who does? If he was nothing but a broken record for anti-semitic conspiracy theories, then I doubt he'd have been around so long. That means he either doesn't bring that sort of thing up often, only does it to bait people, or provides some benefit to outweigh the other two.
EDIT: Regardless of where you may stand on this, you might appreciate one or both of the recent publications highlighted on PBS earlier this evening.
