I thought the Family Guy episode where Peter took a drug that made him gay was hilarious. And they do make the distinction that Herbert isn’t really gay, that he’s a pedophile interested in male children.
I wish GLAAD would stop using percentages of gay characters and how likeable and well adjusted the gay people are as their criteria for judging. All I care about is that there not be over the top negative portrayals presented as typical gay behavior, such as gangs of serial killer drag queens with knives slitting the throats of Christian babies, drinking their blood as part of Satanic rituals and then serving the leftovers the next day for brunch.

I'd rather watch a show like that than Will and Grace.

Before my character’s recent development, I may or may not have stifled myself, but I would have cared.

Your character? Are you admitting you’re playing a role? So now you’re a gay, furry, LARPer?

How closely do any of us in real life resemble the people we appear to be here at High Street? All of us present different faces in different social settings. In each setting, who we appear to be is a combination of dominant personality traits, minor characteristics accented for that setting, suppression of other aspects of personality, and in some situations a bit (or for some people regardless of situation, a lot) of fabrication.

To be honest, and despite whose thread this is, I'd say 11% is edging on over-representation (not counting bisexuals). Frankly, and if we want 'fairness' in television shows, why is there a growing presence of gays and not Asians?
