Why care a whit what happens to Mt Kisco, Pound Ridge, or Bedford Village?

Because someday it will come to my neighborhood! I believe in Freedom of Association, and that includes the freedom not to associate with people you don't want to be around.

I drove through there last month, what 50 years ago was my neighborhood. It can use the change.

I am, as a rule against spending one person's tax dollars to let another person live in a nicer neighborhood. The reason they don't live there in the first place is they can't afford it, the reason they can't afford it is they don't want to pay the price required to afford it. This project just creates a new Santa Monica, slums in what should be the highest rent disctrict in the western hemisphere.

Fair housing means that if you can afford the same price everyone else pays you get to live there, not that we artificially lower the prices using my money so that you can afford live there - that doesn't meet the clasification of fair in anyones dictionary.

**Oh and that you get the prime realestate near the mass transit to boot.
