But, thankfully, the "Survivor" crew and cast are OK. Whew.

And now its coming straight for me! As if living in Southern California wasn't scary enough with the earthquakes that happen too fucking frequently.

Just a reminder to Choad; Cruel was overwhelmed when Google sent all requests for pictures of the Boxing Day 2004 Tsunami to copies posted on Cruel.  Like "Survivor", we should not have to be inconvenienced by this overgrown high tide.

Absolutely first thing I thought when this appeared on the newswire early this evening was, where's OPSEC?

He posted a tsunami video link to his own site, promptly got inundated and disabled the beast on his end. The flood waters washed back on cruel, the levy broke and there was looting in the streets.

We should throw a death pool up...I'll start the bidding at 3,400 dead.

While the earthquake and tsunami were big, they were not on the same scale of the 2004 Indonesian tsunami that killed more than 150,000 across Asia the day after Christmas in 2004, said tsunami expert Brian Atwater of the U.S. Geological Survey in Seattle.

The 2004 earthquake was at least 10 times stronger than the 8.0 to 8.3 measurements being reported for Tuesday's quake, Atwater said.

Good times.  As fnord says, it caused some inconvenience, but I tried to explain to rcade what had happened and to delete the topic, but was ignored.  I wash my hands.

If I ever get #1 page rank on a news topic again, I'll make better use of it.
