Obama has not been faring too well lately. If this is a terrorist attack he is in big doo doo.

Maybe you're right, but it's hard to believe two soldiers would go berserk at the same time and wade in with weapons blazing.

Ever hear of fragging? Grudges? Humans are Humans... If someone felt he was done wrong, it's not hard to posit what can occur when there are so many weapons around.

Agreed, but these cases almost never involve more than one rogue soldier. There were at least two shooters in this case.

Fuck. One of my vendor's reps flew out to Hood Tuesday night. The fact that this occurred in what's described as a "processing center" makes it particularly worrisome. I hope she's OK.

Yup, if this a terrorist attack Obama will be as responsible for this as Bush was for the Twin Towers; pretty much the same time frame.
...of course there is a slight difference in scale...
and of course that difference in scale doesn't matter one whit if it's your son or daughter that has been shot down.

Odds of 12+31 against 65000 are pretty good. I hope the shooters didn't hate cute young manufacterer's reps.

Holy shit, it appears they were Islamic US soldiers. So, it is a terrorist attack and the fuckers are in our military. Damn, we've been so focused on arguing over allowing gays in the service that we forgot to profile recruits for Islamic extremism.
I think this will reflect badly on Obama even though he had nothing to do with it. This is the first real terrorist attack on US soil since 9/11. It will be perceived that Bush kept us safe for all those years and Obama stepped in and let down the guard.

Everything fucking reflects badly on him--I've never seen a public figure treated like this. Called socialist Marxist terrorists by people in actual positions of power, we can't let him speak to kids, the White House is using internet cookies to track citizens, there' shopped naked pictures of his mom on the next page, he's not really an American--there's something every week, always demonstrably false.
You systematically destroy any of our best presidents like this--Reagan, FDR, etc--and know what? You don't get a good president. What a win the Democrats could have had in 1864 had only they more effectively undermined and destroyed Lincoln.

Phreddy, who exactly are you blaming for this?

Except for 911. Hard to beat that body count.
112 people will die a violent death on the highways tonight. Who do you blame?

It pains me that political system has come down to us and them. I consider myself fiscally conservative and socially liberal. OK, so do I vote for the hypocritical assholes who want to lock me up if I dance on Sundays but will be better stewards of our national interests. Perhaps I should I vote for the other hypocritical assholes that want to tax the shit out of me and build another failed utopia. Both teams pretty much either tax the populace or dilute the currency to achieve their aims. One team wants to Baptize us all and wash the constitution in holy water and keep the war industry growing, the other wants redistribute wealth for votes, sell us "solutions" to climate change, and persuade us to accept other cultures despite the fact that they want to kill us.
I'd love to be able to vote on issues, but you factionalized idiots have made that impossible.

I agree with what you are saying but "perceived" is the incorrect word; "played" is the the word you are looking for.

So here it is....
We have a 40 year old, never married career military man who just got a bad FitRep, which means his career is over.
I think we know this story.... the loser & loner takes a fatal hit to the only thing he manages to do right, in his misery he finds a cause, any cause will do and then strikes out as hard as he can in the name of that cause.
In reality he was striking out at his own failure and if he was half a man at all he would have ate a bullet quietly somewhere.
Instead the asshole doesn't even have the common courtesy to die like the rest of the mass shooters usually do....

Nobody has explained yet how a single gunman can shoot at least 43 people. Doesn't he have to reload at some point?
Or could it be Pat Tillman all over again?
Officials are not ruling out the possibility that some of the casualties may have been victims of "friendly fire," that in the mayhem and confusion at the shooting scene some of the responding military officials may have shot some of the victims.
I'm sure that we won't hear about that any more. Major CYA going on, I'm sure.

They were gathered in groups for a graduation, no place to run, no place to hide, he had a semi-auto hand gun, 15 rounds per clip, you can empty it doing double taps in about 30 seconds, reloading takes about 1.5 seconds.
It's probable that some of the casualty's shared the same bullet, remember being grazed is still considered shot and it still hurts like hell.
