I already told you your pic was in violation of whatever photo site you used. They took it down. It isn't in the thread anymore. I never saw it.

Sophie... I hadn't even realised you'd posted H&M!
(Sorry... hadn't watched all the films here before I posted.... Umm... slap my hand?!)
It's wonderful to know we're on the same page, though. I tried to find a vid of the self-imolation scene but I couldn't ... that's one of the best! And as an English car collector, I *seriously* want to make a Jag like his!!

There is plenty of pleasing me. I think I have been rather simple in my request, nay the boards requirement, of any female member displaying their endowments with a condiment of their choice.
We provided you with past instances of said adherence to tradition and merely ask that you do the same.
Until then I am ghoing to start calling you Wells.

Launching the Jag off the cliff was almost as sad as her dying.

Indeed.... I cried. They really did destroy that beautiful little Jag-hearse... *sigh*. And to my knowledge, nobody has ever made another. I loved the little touches like the sand-blasted floral engravings on the rear windows... brilliant.
I've shown this movie to my two sons - who have just as sick a sense of humor as I do - and they loved it. But then, among their favourite books are my collection of original Charles Addams cartoon books. Nice boys. Sick boys, but nice.
And both boys, aged 12 and 14, completely got this one... I'm so proud....

Stalker
I think this is the translation:
Are you awake?
You were speaking of the meaning...
of our... Iife...
of the unselfishness of art...
Take music, for instance.
Less than anything else, it is connected to reality,
or if connected at all, it's done mechanically, not by way of ideas,
just by a sheer sound, devoid of... any associations.
And yet, music, as if by some miracle, gets through to our heart.
What is it that resonates in us in response to noise brought to harmony,
making it the source of the greatest delight
which stuns us and brings us together?
What's all this needed for? And most important, who needs it?
You would say, "No one. And for no reason."
Unselfishly.
No.
I don't think so.
After all, everything has some sense.
Sense and reason.

I think, to some extent, that car was the inspiration for Jensen when they produced the Jensen-Healey GT:

I read the whole thing. Russian creativity is fascinating.

Ahhhh, mine, too. The first movie I ever pirated, in 1979. The gods must have watched over that production. It was fucking perfect and no where near fiction. That was, in fact, how rich people really lived.

Nice I thought of Jan Svankmajer's work when I saw this enchanting little film about Alice's most recent family vacation.
It is good to see a film for the modern age that emphasizes family values and sticking together through thick and thin.

My favorite movie when I was 5 years old, and still today.
And an absolutely beautiful Dario Argento montage, of course they have asked that embedding be restricted so you'll have to click on this one, but please do it's fantastic:
