I feel like I've fallen into a fucking rabbit hole full of shit!  I wrote a private note to two leaders of the forum whom I assumed were sane rational people.  One of them wrote back to me and explained there has been a rather Byzantine factional war going on for several years.  She is currently on the outs with both factions, and shared with me the most insane correspondence to her from the man who heads the faction she once belonged to, the faction the witch who attacked me assumed I'm now aligned with (the witch is the queen of the other faction).  She also gave me links to private little web kingdoms each faction has established.  They have each established forums on the same subject with the same forum hosting company.  This company apparently doesn’t see it as strange to have two mutually hostile forums devoted to the same hobby.


The other woman I wrote to (the one whose accomplishments I had praised in the public forum) turns out to be a lieutenant in the faction the witch hates; the kind, helpful, charming, people I referred to earlier are all leaders in that faction!  I had corresponded with this woman recently, and I now realize she was feeling me out for possible membership in her faction.  She and the rest of her faction just appear more sane in public forums.  These people are all crazier than bedbugs to be so hateful to each other over a fucking hobby!  I knew there were some tensions, but I assumed they were just minor misunderstandings over trades; I had no idea these people all hate each other with a passion!  If necessary I will do eBay dealings with them for supplies, but I intend to keep all of these freaks at arms length in the future!

You know what really is puke-tastic about all this shit is that you could write a book as big as the book "Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" and you would have more than enough information about this war that has been going on. The intriges, the harassment, the hatred.

You could do interviews where people break down crying when describing  what they have been through. All for this frigging hobby.

Just an update.  I no longer post at the public forum and have joined the private forum of what I've referred to as the "saner" faction.  I've also written to the administrator from the company that owns the public forum in response to a smear by one of the Witch's minions on members of my faction (we were referred to as the Jim Jones Cult!), explaining that I will no longer be posting at their forum, and that the forum war and the forum are essentially over because everybody is choosing sides and withdrawing to their own fortified kingdoms.  I explained that a look around the web shows that many people in my state engage in our hobby, but that they don't regard the open public forum as a safe and welcoming community.
