#1 is misguided justice, unfortunate and distastefull but still just a stupid mistake
#2 is in keeping with our society's "save the children" mentality and I'm fairly positive that almost everyone here prefer that the authorities err on the side of caution in these cases

A Pennsylvania House Bill 2760 that passed three years ago allows hospitals to test a mother's blood to protect newborns.
And just to play devil's advocate, what assurance do we have that she isn't a heroin user?
