I wonder if dead giraffes smell as funky as live ones...

Well duh!  Everyone knows Gawd detoured the laryngeal through the chest so we can speak from the heart.

Odin routed the nerve that way to test our faith in him.

I've heard the argument from apologists that things like this occur because god was learning as he went along. Which of course negates infallibility, omniscience, and omnipotence. Might as well keep the Norse gods in that case.

Did you know that Loki is the mother of Sleipnir (Odin's horse)? Trans-gender furry cos-play has a long history.

Does anyone find it ironic that they are dissecting the laryngeal nerve of a giraffe... the only mammal in the world that cannot speak?

Seriously?

Damn.  Sucks for them.  Even llamas can at least hum.  That gives me hours of entertainment at the fair:  humming back and forth with the juvenile llamas trying to get their llama mamas to find them.

Speaking as someone who had to learn the names of the bones in a carp's skull...that's a fine little lecture.

Reminds me of the time when, working in the Antarctic right after dropping out of school where I had majored in Canadian government studies, I realized I was Antarctica's foremost authority on Canadian politics.

I still got the impression that the dissector was lecturing Dawson and Dawson was "interpreting" for the class. Don't get me wrong, "Intelligent Design" dorks are still ignorant, but only half of what I heard was lecture.
