I am with you on this one Forti. This is not the America I know. When the Tea Party regains the government I am sure they will make it right for all the small businessmen who provide the jobs and livelihood for those who make and sell bootleg NFL jerseys, affordable lines Hermes handbags lookalikes. and bring the free downloads of Palin's Alaska to the people.

Forti - politicizing this issue is a mistake; steps towards this end were started by the Clinton administration (as far as the internet goes) fervently furthered by the Bush administration and are continued by the current administration.
The use of goverment regulation to obtain economic advantage goes back forever; both sides of the argument have considerable truth to them but those with the cash to buy a Senator generally get's their way. Why do you think most companies donate to both political parties.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think things would be different with Republicans in office, but I stand against the aggressive power grabs of the DHS of late. My biggest problem being the seizure of domain names. They choose relatively unknown sites first, it'll be bigger sites later in a snail pace power grab as to not cause immediate outrage.

Without the sarcasm I agree Forti. I am unclear on what the extant of the power to seize a domain name is. Is just a warrant enough? Was there a conviction beforehand? Is it even like a forfeiture of property involved in a crime? Where at least there is some due process and both sides can argue their case. Though the rules of evidence and procedure are different then a criminal case.

By "of late" I assume you mean that "now that Fox is reporting it"; nothing has changed your news agencies just ignored it while Bush was in office.
