Hey All,
I'm playing around with design changes and am wondering if 250px is too tall for the header image. What I'm playing with is here. Give a look and tell me if we should drop it to 200px or something, or if that will sap your creative energies away.

200 px, max. Not everyone has gigantic cinema screens or even knows where their browser display settings are. It's best at that size (or slightly smaller) because you want other content and navigation visible when the page first loads. The rotating banners amuse us, but could be confusing to a newcomer ("I'm where?" "WTF is going on here?" etc). If I start talking about "floats" and "padding," then it'll just sound like a pride parade. Also, the keyword and description meta tags are 'weak.' You might want to consider forcing a custom cursor because the current one gets lost against the default skin.

Yeah, I've been observing the differences, and anything over 800x200 tends to force the rest of the page down a bit more than is comfortable.

I run the default skin, and have observed no such a problem.  Mayhaps you're simply over-due for an eye exam.
