And select "app" as Word of the Year for 2010, beating out "nom."

Can also be construed as a state of mind, regardless it's far better than "app".

"Really?" {pause} "Really?" The Yuppie saying of the year that really got on my fucking nerves. It replaces the 2009 Yuppie phrase of the year, "Hey You!"  I believe both of these phrases originated from Jennifer Anniston trying to look cute in some piece of shit romantic comedy and the movie going honkeys ran with it. Both phrases must be said while using your most vomitus cutesy voice. I think that's why I fucking hate them.

I'll throw out another cutesy term, "K," while I'm at it. You know what I'm talking about . You text a grown person about something and they respond with "K" instead of "OK." what are you? A fuckin toddler? It's especially creepy when a dude does it. It's like he's trying to use his baby voice instead of talking like a grown up. Is it so hard to type "OK" so that you don't sound like some diaper wearing perv?

I actually like nom.  I've used it in conversation with grown human beings.  I don't like app.  I can't explain my reaction to either one.

The other day I used "GTFO" in a sentence at work and sent a co-worker into near hysterics.  I guess a twenty-something male didn't expect to hear that from a woman old enough to be his grandma.

"WTF"? Or is that TOO mainstream?

I dislike Nom.  Sounds so immature and young teen-ish.

Whatevs annoys me also.  As does "it's all good".  but that one is probably old.

I think you should use this as the foundation for the joke you're developing about older women. (TallPaul announces future release of joke
