When war becomes sterile we become immune to it's evils; the liberal left has successfully done it's best to eliminate the very acts which make war deplorable and now they reap the harvest of their own foolishness.

War should be absolute, drive the populace before you and scorch the earth behind you.  Only then the horror will be enough to cause populace to resist the "easy" war and demand accountability; absurdly we were asked to "go shopping at the mall" to support the current wars - and sadly we accommodated.

We deserve our current situation.
