The funeral home that handled my grandmother's funeral was nothing short of spectacular, exquisitely furnished and decorated, with small, intimate rooms like parlors right up to rooms that were nearly auditoria. Not a whiff of formaldehyde anywhere. In one of the larger rooms they had a small aviary (or maybe it was a huge birdcage) populated with tiny, lively finches where another establishment might have had an aquarium...I would have been delighted to have my wedding in such a place, as long as, you know, there wasn't a viewing taking place on the same day. Also, it had acres of parking space.

I'm surprised there was so much parking. Usually people are dying to get in there.

The funeral home where my mother's funeral was held was one of the creepiest places I've ever been in. I can only wonder what she was thinking when she prepaid for her funeral with this place. The people who worked there were ghoulish, and the premises gave the impression that evil rites were performed there. It would have been the worst possible location for a wedding.

You really ought to be ashamed of yourself.

Go out and rent yourself a copy of The Loved One.

I know, and I don't understand it. It's the last place I'd go.

All this death innuendo is simply the living end.

I'm sure lots of Goth weddings wouldn't mind having a viewing in the next room, as long as they got to sightsee...
