Anyone know of a good web host that doesn't censor content??

My website about the ex got suspended by GoDaddy and I want to move it elsewhere.

Anyone?

I don't know, I sent them an email asking why.  The asshole probably reported it as abuse, and I hear godaddy are pussies and pull websites whenever they feel it's ok.

Whatever happened to free speech?

RT, make sure the registrar offers a privatized whois record.

They do and I'm using it.  But they already know who's running the website.

So, does anyone know the legalities of posting a photo that someone sent you?  The douche sent me a photo of himself (2) that I posted on my website.  I'm wondering if this is the 'copyright issue' they are claiming my site violates.

Also - I thought it was perfectly legal to share emails you received from someone else on a website.

I'm trying to figure out what the assholes are claiming is infringement, since Go Daddy won't tell me.  Assholes all of them.

A crux of the problem lies that someone can claim they have the rights to just about anything whether true or not, and force a website down.

The EFF has a lot of links on takedowns.

They laso have a Takedown Hall Of Shame.

That is exactly the problem.  They can claim copyright, and the web hosts will take down the site.  I moved to a site that supposedly doesn't flinch easily.  We shall see.

Either way, I can keep putting the site up in different places.  It'll be cached on google for awhile.  He's the one that has to keep spending money to send letters from his lawyer.

GoDaddy is basically the worst option you could choose.

Just glad you were able to switch away without a shakedown.
