Really? Farmers have been guided by eugenic principles for millennia when choosing the progenitors of food animals and plants. Were/are they morons? The founder of Planned Parenthood was big on it. So were most of the scientists and social philosophers of that period. Before it became a dirty word in the aftermath of WWII, the overwhelming majority of people saw eugenics as common sense. It used to be commonplace to ask questions about the health of relatives of one's intended when a marriage was being negotiated. Are you saying you're descended from morons?

No, fnord, he's not. He's not even saying YOU are. Anyway, just because people used to think that drinking radium, soaking the mentally ill in ice water before beating them or attending National Socialist rallies were good things to do doesn't mean we have to do those same things today.
