OPSEC is indisposed so the Tsunami will have to wait.

Welcome to the New Republican Party. Contracts? Debts? Elected officials? I posted this story yesterday, but so far the response here has been underwhelming.
Meanwhile, the destruction of the tsunami over here has been horrific.

Hope all you know is safe over there TP.  From what the news feeds are, it's totally screwed.

You have power and communication. I gather you weren't effected too heavily? I hope everything is well.

Not sure how to embed this video.  It is a little medley of some of the worst footage.  Play it at full screen and it will scare the shit out of you.  This is really bad.

I was watching videos on the computer all afternoon as I'm recovering from a very bad cold. I didn't know a thing about it until I checked a news site, didn't even feel a tremor, we're miles away south and west. Now this morning, and fires have been burning all night. Earthquakes are nothing new over here, we get small ones all the time and usually tsunamis are measured in inches. Even so, in the back of your mind you always know that things could be far worse, so fatalism develops as a kind of mental callous. I lived through the Hanshin earthquake but this is one is far worse.

I never really had any idea that much of Northern Japan was so flat. In my minds eye I always thought of the mountains and high meadows and forests. But these videos show huge flat areas that I always thought of as being in the south.
