"The disappointing side is we have a superintendent that lets this happen and go on and not willfully try to stop it," he said.

I'm sure he has no idea where people get the idea that they can write to or otherwise make their wishes known to public officials.

Come on.... the teacher purposefully used this guys eight year old daughter.  I guarantee the assignment was crafted specifically because they knew who she was.

I wonder how Paul would see this if the teacher had the kids write letters to elected officials lobbying for all sports programs be dropped, or demanding that gays should not be allowed to teach children.  Huh?

We had the same issue out here, the teachers are using the children as political tools in the battle over pensions.

Completely uncool.

Except "people" didn't make wishes known to public officials.  One or more teachers used a class of otherwise innocent children as tools to make their wishes known.

In any other situation, those teachers would be called "douchenozzles".

If the teachers had balls, they'd have written the letters themselves.

If you're so emotionally and financially fucking needy you need the public purse, you deserve what you get.

Just ask that Weiner guy.

I would say that the dicks had the right to do so, and also that writing letters is no crime yet, Comrade. Besides, those things are what we have Republican congressmen for.

I wonder what Phreddy would say about the Ryan plan for 1.3 million disabled vets to lose their health care, while the upper 2% enjoy their extended Bush tax cuts.

Nah, I gotta side with the Phredkins on this one. It was entirely inappropriate to rope students into a letter-writing campaign and it was particularly tacky - at best - to pull the congressman's kid into it. As much as I sympathize with the school, pulling kids into political efforts without parental permission is wrong. What is appropriate is to send letters to the kids' parents, encouraging them to contact their reps.

I'm surprised he has his daughter in public school with the children of the proles.  The usual thing for Rethuglicans to do is put their kids in a good private school, and then work to strip the public schools of needed funding.

More public union thuggery.  This time stepping on Special Olympics athletes.  These people need a PR advisor and a slap upside the head.  EDIT:  I had posted the wrong video.  This is the correct one.
