It's "Performance Art Darwinism" in action. Artist push the accepted norms. 99.999% of the time it is garbage and dies the death it deserves. .001% of the time we get Andy Warhol or Martha Graham or Frank Lloyd Wright. The artists just never know what will work until they try it. They keep swinging and missing. But when they hit something it's amazing.

I like your take on this stuff. But there's failure, and then there's failure--and sometimes you just gotta laugh till you choke.
