There's an increasing amount of free-floating anger about our current situation.  Our masters ignore or repress it at their peril.

Yeah, I have dreamed for years about this.  Ignore indeed at their peril.

We cannot help but marvel at the audacity of agents of the corporate state as they characterize the will of the people as championed by voices within the progressive community and embodied by the occupy movements that have exploded onto the national stage this month as “class warfare.”

Is it class warfare to decry the injustice of a legal system that imprisons minorities and the poor while extending a free pass to the criminals on Wall Street who defrauded, looted, and bankrupted the American people? Is it class warfare to proclaim that a system in which 400 Americans have become more wealthy than half of all Americans combined is obscene, unjust, and evidence of a deeply corrupted system? Is it class warfare to stand up for the people, environment, and animals that the corporatocracy considers nothing more than expendable fodder beneath the treads of their machine?

No, it is not we, the 99%, who have declared class warfare on the ruling elites. It is they who have oppressed, exploited, murdered, and thrown us aside all in the name of greed for money and power.

Up until now they have been winning this war, as Richard Wolff reveals, “at the end of World War II, for every dollar Washington raised in taxes on individuals, it raised $1.50 in taxes on business profits. In contrast, today, for every dollar Washington gets in taxes on individuals, it gets 25 cents in taxes on business. Business and its allies successfully shifted most of its federal tax burden onto individuals.”

It is up to each and every one of us, to take a stand and tell the corporate machine that we refuse to allow them to continue their ruthless crushing of the people. It is up us to join movements catching across this nation like a wildfire that will purify rather than damage the soil. It is up to us to proclaim the truth of our situation, despite the culture of acceptence that has been bred into the populace.

Support NationofChange now, and help us to continue to take back what the power elites have stolen from us. Help us combat the lies of the propaganda machine and promote the rebellion of the people.

My son's ex film making partner Ivy is one of the organizers.  He is running supplies, filming etc.  We had a family discussion last night about consensus decision making etc.  Down there tomorrow myself, hopefully I can help out.

This is a great time to be alive IMPOV.

Yeah, we are taking supplies, and supporting them in other ways.  We are all gathering, it will be friends meeting new friends.  This is the way we forge a new future.

I'm a little surprised, fnord & dmtdust.  Do you really think that any positive, permanent change will come out of this movement?

Yes, why?

Maybe I'm just a little too burned out.  Good luck, though.

Thanks.  Everything is worth the effort.  It may not succeed, but then again it just might.

George, that was my favorite OWS tidbit so far.

For the less literary inclined, I present the hot women of OWS getting all protesty.

Historically, 80% of protesters are only in it for the hookups. The kids at Kent State were probably only there for some action.

Further proof that Hot Chicks just don't protest

Now that Keith Olberman has the smallest audience in TV I suppose he can say what he wants without fear of anyone taking offence.

Here is a little story about one of the "Occupy" self appointed leaders.

wanted in Indiana for failing to appear in court in connection with criminal charges filed after cops found him naked, intoxicated, and covered in olive oil in a public park.

Isn't that what the Occupy Wall Street crowd is all about?

Christ, Phreddy, now you've got something against olive oil?

In the end, we can all rest assured you will miss the point.

No, including that part - the Tea Partiers are possibly even worse.

Besides the cops won't allow trash cans or porta-johns to be brought in, which kind of lends to that sort of situation.

Jesus Christ, that would be like finding somebody from the American Family Association at a tea party rally. O, the temerity.

I still haven't met a paid Tea Party rallyer. And why are they firing people who admit to being paid to carry signs and everyone who ever talked to them?

Top 10 Reasons Why So Few Black Folk Appear Down To Occupy Wall Street

My favorite:

The sudden realization by OWS-ers that American elites never signed the social contract and will sell the people out for a fat cat's dime—hey, no news flash over here. Black folk got wise to the game back in 1865 when we realized neither 40 acres nor a mule would be forthcoming. Also, as one sharp strapping ready for whatever you got youngblood recently put it, "I ain't about to go get arrested with some muhfuhkuhs who just figured out yesterday that this shit ain't right."

I'll challenge that claim, just ask Sarah Palin what her rate per speech is.

I think we can all agree that if Kim Jong Ill would pay her enough, she would speak there too.
