Love the Sacred Mayan Power Pebble!
Only one more year to endure this mystical sacred number mumbojumbo... What silly shit must we obsess over after Y2K & 2012 have passed?

It's going to be the 50th anniversary of every event from the 60s, so we'll get to hear from Boomers about every goddamn thing that happened to them in their youth. It won't be the end of the world, but you'll wish it was.

Was a bit horrified by how many of my friends recognized the numerical significance of 11.11.11, but resisted clueing them into the history of the Gregorian Calendar. Perhaps I should just embrace this holy hoopla in the spirit of good-natured idealism, move to Costa Rica and become a shaman.
Similarly I love how the muslim world is reclaiming the time standard from the Greenwich Meridian (located in the wicked Western world): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mecca_Clock#Clock
