It makes perfect sense to me.  This is why money, hype, height, and good hair are more important when it comes to winning an election than qualities such as intelligence and honesty.

We fucked up when we abandoned the original intent of the founding fathers.  Only property owners were supposed to be able to vote.  The rationale was that these people had skin in the game and would make wise decisions.  In addition, property owners were better educated, more informed, and more intelligent than the masses.

Amusing little mots . But,  if we buy his argument,  that means governance should be the sole province of the "elite".

Problem is, who gets to decide who the elite are?
