I applaud creative speech such as this, I for one am bored to death with the generic American lingo.  I was watching the Six Nations yesterday and the announcer referred to the stadium as "full up" and one of the players called it "packed in" instead of the bland American "Sold Out" used by each and every person in the US of A.

Language is a toy people, play with it.
