"Begins to block his airways?" It's fairly apparent that ship has already sailed. It's rare to see such an uncomely 'Before' picture, but amusing to note that somebody clearly attempted to retouch it. Between Christian Scientists and Jehovah's Witnesses, I wonder whether we're seeing social darwinism at work, or if it's unfair to condemn a whole sect for the shortsightedness of their principles. Jews put a high spiritual value on blood as well, but you won't catch one refusing life-saving medical treatment on those grounds.
