Those parents have a very good point. Yoga promotes "Mens sana in corpore sano" which is definitely not a Christian ideal. Remember the words of St. Paul:
St. Paul wrote:
"For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body you will live."
In other words, a good Christian practices "mortification of the flesh." Christian children should spend their school days wearing hair shirts and whipping each other, not cavorting with the brown-skinned Devil in sexy longjohns.
